A lot of these were quietly inspired by the Across the Universe video and song. I love it and it makes me think of Fringe immediately, both universes and crossing over between them.
1. This was mostly inspired by marcasite's icon because I love the way she's looking down and away and how my eyes go right to her lips. Also the word guilty.
2. theotherayn's icon, though I went for a darker and slightly green coloring. This is almost purely for hair porn purposes.
3. Amused. Alt!Livia smiles a lot more and gives her boys amused looks when they are being silly. I love it when either Livia smiles. :)
4. Cold, and the blue tones of realproof and darlingbones's icons. Blue looks so good on Olivia.
5. Inspired by the green tones of several of the icons and me wanting to play with some perspective.
6. skydawnjade's icon because I love the shadow and light play, and Annie looks a little crazy, which also inspired me to do something with Walter. He's always crazy, but it's the good kind. Mostly. ;)
7. Lonely and contemplative. Broyles is such a loner, but I think it makes him more introspective as opposed to sad or depressed. I tried to show that sharp scrutinizing gaze he has, but also soften him a little.
8. When I looked at the color chart my eyes went right to the bottom right corner and all the pretty fall colors which I love love love. Instead of Peter and Olivia being across from each other as they are in the original cap, I cut it and put them facing away from each other. I used that and the black and white to try to show how distant they were from one another for so long and give it a sadder mood.
9. Gloomy, also maybe a little creepy or scary. And I love green. This should be obvious by now. XD
10. Honestly this was inspired by Anna Torv's stupid FACE making me feel all the feelings. But I also tried to go for another lonely feel because Olivia is a very lonely person, even when she's in a relationship, and very closed off. She's got walls, man.
11. Amanda Palmer's Astronaut video. I love the black and white and the bits of red. Certain people know how much I love that combo. Plus there is so much in the lyrics that fit the Peter/Olivia ship and their inability to just be together and not make it so complicated.
12. Confused. I was going through caps and the episode, Jacksonville, that this is from is all about Olivia's past. You can really sense her desire to understand herself, but really not being able to because she's missing these pieces of her history. She doesn't know why she was chosen or why she has these abilities.
13. More green. XD And jealous because it made me think of envy.
14. vetica's icon. I love semi-close crops where there are no eyes. I tried to keep the pink coloring her icon had too.
15. Regina Spektor song Fidelity. The lyrics: 'Suppose I never ever met you, Suppose we never fell in love.' And I wanted to do something like wildpages's icon with a silouhette or a cutout.
16. Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah. That song gives me all the damn feelings and I feel like it really fits Peter and his journey.
17. The line in the Guggenheim Grotto song Fee Da Da Dee: 'and if the world decides to melt there's nothing I can do to change her mind.' Alt!Livia is very focused and driven in her mission and her hair comes out beautifully with very little effort. The phrase 'the world decides to melt' just made me want to do some soft focus fuzzy thing, and the cap from Plateau had this dreamy feel. I think it worked well.
18. Video Across the Universe. First, I love this song. Second, I cannot see Olivia in that bath all hooked up and not think about her crossing universes.
19. The negative space and pink coloring of several of several icons, and my desire to do something with Anna Torv's gorgeous profile.
20. darlingbones's Luther icon.
