Guess I haven't updated in a while. And there's a new LJ button on my start up screen!!?! Whoooaa
Whoa.. Livejournal? What's that. Haven't updated in like a month. I've been intrigued by the whole "Myspace" world that I've sorta neglected this thing.
But here I am... no need to fear.
But what is this... a new LJ button?! It says My LJ and has all sorts of crazy options. Intriguing.... I'll have to check it all out when I get some down time.
Which would be soon cause....
Mmmh yeah.
Colleges.
ALL MY APPLICATIONS ARE DONE!!
Soo excited!
Now all that's left to do is wait... and wait... and wait.
And waiting isn't exactly the most ideal of situations, but it beats filling out all those stupif applications. Not ONE of them was the same. I had to use 6 different applications. Gee- thanks Mr. Common App that's supposed to make things easy!!
Ah, oh well.
The fact of the matter is: I'm done.
Here's the list:
- Elon University (Elon, North Carolina)
- College of William and Mary (Williamsburg, Virginia)
- James Madison University (Harrisonburg, Virgina
- UNC Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, North Carolina)
- Radford University (Radford, Virginia)
- University of Central Florida (Orlando, Florida)\
and if (and only if) I don't get into any of those colleges... then my last resort is UNC Charlotte.
But I'd rather not have to live at home and commute, even though it's a state school (and a good school!) I would just rather go away and get the whole experience.
So yeah. That's that. Let the waiting begin.
Oh-- and on another note.
I almost burned my house down today.
yeahhhhh. Not really a smart idea.
I just need to stay away from the kitchen in general.
This morning I had intended to make hot chocolate, turned the stove-top on, put the kettle on, and then went to make the rest of my breakfast. I realized half-way through my cereal that I needed money for lunch, ran upstairs to my room and went digging for some money.
By the time I had gotten back downstairs and looked at the clock, I totally forgot about the hot water and left for school.
I get home this afternoon around 2:20 and my mom has an e-mail for me. It said she came into the kitchen around 8:00 withe kettle turning Maroon and no water in it.
Yeah-- way to go Kaitlin. Nearly blow the house up.
Obviously won't do that again....
Well... I've got a few errands to run and I need to get gas so I can drive. <3
