This weekend has been so exhausting. Friday was St. John's, good times minus the 2938792387 random people who were there. Definitely not used to there being more thank maybeeee 60 people there on a good night. There were SOOOO many people there last night, though. Crazy. But it was good to see so many fun people, too. Especially people I hardly see. I would just like to say that I truly underestimated the power that one person can have over another, let alone adding the fact that they are a "musician" to the equation. During ATL the sound equip. kept effing up (suprise suprise). Like, Alex and Jack running between the three mics trying to find one that would work so they could sing at least parts of the songs, but they kept cutting out. But anyway, right before their last song, Max told them they had to take a 5 minute break because the equip. was overheating. Amusing. It's St. John's. WTF. Anyway. So during this little break, I witnessed one of the most ridiculous instances of people being influenced by others that I've ever seen. Alex had kept telling people to sing, and jump and all this stuff, and they were doing it without blinking. And then during the break he and Jack walked over to the side where a bunch of us were standing and I said something to the effect of "Jack I swear Alex could tell them to take off their right shoe and beat themselves with it, and they'd do it". So Alex walks to the center of the stage and starts singing If you're happy and you know it. And wouldn't you know the entiiiiire crowd starts singing and DOING the damn song!?!? How do you have so much power over people that you can get TEENAGERS to sing that song...IN FRONT OF OTHER TEENAGERS? Makes no sense to me. He says jump, they say how high, I suppose. PS: Lisa has the prettiest voice in the whole wide world...ever :) She makes ME giddy:)
