KAT-TUN 2022 HONEY TOUR; Shizuoka !

Over the years I have learnt to accept my bad luck at hitting for big and popular venues and instead put my faith in hitting for the less trodden paths, the so-so / unpopular venues.. and so when I failed to hit for Yogoyi (1st choice) but got Shizuoka (2nd choice) instead, I gave myself a smirk in the mirror: I'm indeed a wise woman.

This is more about stray observations and my experience rather than a concert report. Also I typed it on my phone so the formatting might be off ><'

Well anyhow, let me say:

Firstly, this was my first time going to a concert in Shizuoka which has me wondering why... I went all the way to Fukui which is a hell of a lot harder to get to and have flown to Fukuoka and Hokkaido so why not Shizuoka?! I don't know.. but maybe it's because when I ballot for concerts I first check accessibility then I check what's in the area to do before or after the concert. KAT-TUN, GACKT.. I basically tour Japan by following their concert tours. So sure Shizuoka has Mt Fuji and tea (which Kame was hung on during MC) but nothing really exceptional except for that special sakura during Golden Week... but I have also learnt to avoid certain places during Golden Week.

And so secondly, I GOT ARENA SEAT!! I said, it's my first time at this venue and I got ARENA seat!!



Back in the day or maybe even now people went/go crazy for Arena seats and while it's nice seated down there, I experienced it twice before and while it's nice, being closer to KT, I feel you miss out on the stage aesthetics. From the stands, KT might look tiny at times but it's the whole experience that you're part of something great that I love about being in stands. I don't think I'm doing a good job at explaining this but it's that feeling you get at being able to take in everything from the stage set up to the stage lights to the crowd's level level of energy. It's just beautiful!

Which brings me to thirdly, BUT I quite liked this arena seat 😂 😂 😂 My disappointment at not getting stands quickly vanished when I noticed my seat was 2 rows away from the back stage which meant I literally saw all 3 (Ueda, Kame and Nakamaru) up close and sweaty!! Whenever they moved from the back stage into those moving stages my head kept going left to right constantly like I was broken 😂 My heart was racing from excitement and at just how HANDSOME they are!! like wow man! leave some for the rest of us. I kept screaming internally "look at me, look at me LOOK AT ME" yet at the same time "NO NO NO DON'T YOU DARE! You want to kill me?!" 😂 😅 perhaps this also why I don't really care for arena seats it's too mentally stressful lol

But the funny thing is, this happened during 🎶 Euphoria and 🎶 Born Free and I had drank some wine earlier so yeah, I was in heaven, EUPHORIA and living it like I was truly BORN FREE *sighs* *screams* But yeah, for real, whenever I think about it being time for me to leave Japan, I remember concerts and ignore other plausible logic of adult life 😌🤧

Anyhow, they didn't look my way 😂

Random comments / stray observations;
- I keep thinking I got an Arena seat because for once I arrived early and not just on time... so maybe I should take this as a sign 😂
- They sang TWO and SWEET CHAIN and I can't remember them being performed at Osaka.
- I caught some other words from Ueda's solo 🎶 Lollipop
"Horny girls want their own candlelight"
"Come taste it"  "Swallow it"

-  The whole MC was about Nakamaru's hair.. how he needs to touch it and the direction of his bang and what the 3 of them do to give their hair volume.. if Nakamaru doesn't use a blow dryer then he'll have to sport an afro 😂

- The KameDa talk while Nakamaru went to get ready for his solo perf was basically about Shizuoka having a good scenery and endless blue skies. I guess this is what happens when you live in big cities because when I got to the venue I was also in awe at all the greenery and then walking back to the station after the concert, the sky was filled with stars. I scooted over to the side of the road where no one was so I could slide down my mask and inhale all that freshness *very nice feeling*



- Kame and Ueda kept saying how hot the place was so everyone with uchiwa started to fan them and trust me, there were lots of uchiwa fanning because even I felt the drop in temperature but then after a while Kame said it's OK to stop and sales man Nakamaru said that's the importance of buying goods lol but at the end of MC Kame begged everyone to fan him again 😂



Ecopa Arena/Stadium surrounded by trees!  I guess Ecopa is short for Eco-park

- During Harukana Yakusoku Nakamaru was poking his whole face in the camera view (his usual antics) but accidentally broke off a piece 😂 😂  he was so surprised & gestured an apology lol Kame & Ueda only found out during the closing comments 😂

- I've noticed this at every KAT-TUN concert, they really get wild when it comes to Harukana Yakusoku and Peaceful Days. I guess the same way LIPS and KEEP THE FAITH etc is nostalgic for Hyphens, those 2 songs are special to them. As I mentioned, in his excitement Nakamaru broke the camera (which Ueda teased him about during the MC and Nakamaru's response is a series of cute faces which had the whole arena praising his cuteness lol) and in Peaceful Days, Ueda was lying on stage facing the camera and driving everyone crazy 😍 lol

- AND *drumroll* I once again met Ueda's nipples up close. Small and lovely as I remembered them from IGNITE 😏 lol and I wonder about Kame's waist for my boy was going all out with the rolling and grinding and hair flip *inhale* *exhale* Tonight, I have lived!

- And one more thing before I wrap up, maybe it's because they're mid-tour but Kame's and Ueda's voices were exceptionally good... stronger and more melodic. Nakamaru held on too but it was very distinct with Kame and Ueda.. like they went off script and did a thing and it worked beautifully ♥
