I see your point. There are fans but they are busy with something else. The weekly dose of Tame Tabi is nice but it's not sparking any intense discussion or flailing.
Or if they do, it's not in the english language fandom. With KAT-TUN not being very active and the core fanbase getting older, the time spent talking about KAT-TUN is less and less. I still follow their activities and I'm never been very pro-active as a fan, so I keep an eye on what's going on and I'm happy to support them howevere I can if they release something or announce a tour. More than that... I live a Continent away and my closest friends now are all fans, so we still talk about them, just in a group chat.
KAT-TUN is certainly less popular now, but fandom is not dead. It's just quiet. I'm gratefull to all people regurlarly sharing video and news and images. Without them I will be cut out from whatever is happening in Japan.
Nonethelss, I got myself into another obsession when (or because) I needed the distraction. Not sure it will evolve into something cray like when I found out about KAT-TUN. We'll see.
Hang in there! New fiscal year is starting soon in Japan and I'm hoping all paperworks regarding KAT-TUN'c contract and future business plans are done and we get them back, live and recorded (goddammit, where are the tour dvds? >_>)
Oh, I forgot: I hope you get to see Tacchan's musical! That is one show I'm sorry I won't be able to see (see, here big fan of Rammstein, knowing that tacchan is gonna sing their style of music... *__* But LOL at the idea of Tacchan singing in German... FEUER FREI!!!)
I am buying the blue ray because I want to have Union concert too! Already self-invited to friend's house for a second viewing of the concerts! (First viewing will be with Cris as we are very conveniently meeting in Manchester that week-ensd :))) ) You?
