Still living in York, this time in my own place on my own except for a cat called Vienna. Listening to O Children, Polly Scattergood and lots of music I've listened to before over the years.

Living in York in a rented terrace on Wellington Street with (at this point, I think)
randomstring 's ex, who was finishing a doctorate, and Bryn. Thinking about my third egg donation. Split up with
steer a year before and would start going out with
shedpete a few months into the future. Seeing
puritypersimmon from time to time who I think was either just moving to York or had only been here a little while. Very happy to be back in the goth scene and going to Whitby again - went with
noctulita a couple of times around this time.

Studying at Keele, in my last year with exams only weeks away. At the time the only assessment method was by final exam and I had ten of them - thankfully at either end of exam season. So at this point I was doing 2 hours of Greek revision every day and had a strict revision timetable - one of the few times in my life I've been that organised.
I lived on campus for the easter holidays and during the exams as I shared a house with my then boyfriend and we used to argue constantly, so it seemed better to keep contact to a minimum for a while. This was sensible - we finally split up a couple of months later and not before time. Also lived with my beloved cat Bryn, who put up with a lot, but was queen of the street and pampered by everyone she knew. Listening to a lot of KLF and this newfangled thing called house music which had recently got popular. Hearing about clubbing on E and wondering what it was.

Living in Grasmere, choosing O level options (or rather, having my dad cross out my choices and put in his!), meeting my best friend Jo every weekend in Ambleside where she lived and spending every Saturday with her. Getting into Mod and Ska. We were at this point looking forward to Charles and Di's wedding (for the day off school) and I seem to remember sporting a 'Don't do it Di' badge that I'd seen in Spare Rib. Listening to this strange guy called Adam Ant who'd only just got in the charts and playing Kings of the Wild Frontier obsessively.

Living in Liverpool in our little rented terrace house with the outside loo in Old Swan. (Not fun in the winter!) My little brother would have been almost 2 and we shared a bedroom which had Magic Roundabout wallpaper. Had a bad habit of grinding my teeth during my sleep and sitting in the bedroom window naked (this was at the back of the house fortunately - only the neighbours complained). At the end of that year (New Year's Day in fact) we left Liverpool for good and moved to Orgill, in between Egremont and St Bees.
