Ryan "Dallas" Cook died this morning in a motorcycle accident. Many people might know him from Suburban Legends. But to others of us he was our friend and he will be forever missed.

"I'm sorry to those of you who have to find this way, but we decided that time is of the essence right now and that this car could be anywhere. I'm also calling all the local news channels to see if they can broadcast it because we only see one publication writing about it...it is with a heavy heart that I have to post this...

Motorcyclist dies after Santa Ana crash

By RITA FREEMAN
The Orange County Register

SANTA ANA - A Huntington Beach motorcyclist was killed early this morning after hitting a dark-colored Hyundai that was blocking the car-pool lane on the southbound Costa Mesa (55) Freeway, the California Highway Patrol said.

Ryan Cook, 23, was riding a black Honda CB570 at 12:25 a.m. in the car-pool lane just north of MacArthur Boulevard and hit the Hyundai, possibly a sport-utility vehicle.

Cook was thrown from his motorcycle, then was struck multiple times by oncoming cars, said California Highway Patrol officer Denise Quesada. Cook died at the scene.

The driver of the Hyundai fled the scene on the southbound 55, Quesada said.

Santa Ana CHP is investigating the accident.

Authorities are looking for the dark-colored Hyundai with rear or side damage. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call (714) 567-6000.

So if you happen to run across a dark colored Hyundai with body damage, make that call...even if you think its silly, it's still worth a shot.

Hang in there everyone."
