In this short time I have already grown dependent on driving. Chris and I are amazed at how much we can get done in such a short time frame. I love running errands. I also love that it's going to storm and snow and we'll be warm and toasty. Chris was making fun of people walking in the cold today, it wasn't very nice but holy crap am I glad I'm not one of those suckers.
It's very liberating to own a car and not have it belong to your parents or anything. I feel very accomplished and proud to have over come my fear of driving then purchased a car all on my very own. The hassles and the wait were almost worth it, it wasn't easy, AT ALL. Right up to paying the taxes it was hard, we found out when we got there that the redbook value was actually higher than the price we paid, which according to the DMV lady, almost never happens, and means we got a really good deal but means we paid more tax on the car than we budgeted for. BUT insurance taxes and license plates are all paid for and my constant head ache for the last 2 months is gone with it and instead I feel accomplished and pleased to have persevered through every conceivable roadblock car buying can throw at you. I just need to pick up a mac pass!
