So technically. I'm Catholic. I've done the whole Communion and Confirmation ceremonies. Communion allows me to get the Body and Blood of Christ (basically some vanilla wafers and red wine) and Confirmation is suppposed to be my acceptance to the church, which allows me to be wed by a catholic priest.

This year. For the first time ever, I've decided to celebrate Lent. From what I remember from Sunday school class, Lent celebrates the 40 days that Jesus was left alone with no food or water with the devil. OR something like that. So basically you're supposed to do the Jesus thing and give up something for 40 days that you really, really enjoy.

I've decided to give up booze. Lent was supposed to start yesterday, but since it is my b-day weekend, I'll start my Lent on Monday morning.

I think it will do me good. I have a lot more things that I'm giving up. Like swearing and eating fast food, but the booze is a big thing for me. Not because im an alcoholic, but because when i go out, i like to have a beer or two or ten.

So if you celebrated Lent, what would you give up?
