i have self-diagnosed myself to having dyscalculia.
it's essentially math dyslexia.
i've never even heard of this learning disability, but apparently, it's legit. i was reading all about it, the symptoms, facts, and holy jumpins, everything applies to me. it's not me being lazy, or just ditzy...i seriously cannot figure out basic math. sharon told me to add up 8+5 and it took me about thirty seconds to count it out. and three of us were going to pitch in to get a lotto ticket for $30 million. i had to ask how much we'd get each if we won...i wasn't even joking (although i hope i was just overtired that day, because that's crazy).
so, it's kind of nice to know that all my problems surrounding math since about grade six can be explained. at least, i hope so.
