this morning i played my guitar for my mom's third grade class . boy was it fun ! everyone asked me if i was famous, and one girl asked me if i "knew avril." i don't know if she meant avril songs, or if she just thought i knew her because we both play the guitar ? !
i played "home on the range" and "i don't want to live on the moon" (inspired by j. turnbull's performance sunday afternoon.) it was so fun. i think when i grow up i'm going to be one of those weird ladies with long flowie hair who wear long flowie dresses and birkenstocks and play at the langley adams librarie for story hour. actually. scratch the whole birkenstock thing. that would be gross.
