My family has always used the term "camping" very loosely, but when it gets to the point where I can check my myspace, facebook, email and put up a livejournal entry, the term goes out the window altogether.
I don't personally care though. Camping has never meant "roughing it" out in the woods and being at one with nature or anything like that, and I don't care whose definition of it that is, even if it might be everyone else in the world. To me, Camping trips are time spent with my family in a campground setting. People can bitch and moan about my definition all they want, and say that I'm outright wrong...buuttt I've gotten to the point in my life that people that argue that kind of minutia with me no longer matter.
We've been having a good time so far (knock on wood...God knows theres enough around me for me to find some to do that with!). I'm really happy that Matt is with us and that he's the only non family member I've ever shared this weekend with.
I finally got my yearbook the other day...did I mention that already? I looked pretty awesome in all the pictures but one and that's nice. I love the one of matt and I at the spring ball. My mom thinks we look very elegant....
We took the kids to mini-golf today. Gio was crazy. I won a free game. I was pretty proud of myself even it was kinda random. Matt and I took the car out earlier in the day and got lost around sturbridge in search of a walmart so we could get some play-doh for cranium. We went past the scarecrows and they looked really good this year. the plan is to go right after breakfast to check them out tomorrow. We had a pretty jam packed but relaxing day today. It's somewhat nice to just not be working too. I'm really grateful to terri for getting the days off for me.
The book signing was crazy. they had me running all over the place. We were pretty crowded with all the cruise ships etc. I got a book personalized and I'm buying it tuesday when I get back to work. The author was really nice. did I even mention that i agreed to work three hours friday for a book signing in the store? I must have. Hmmm....
not much else is going on in the wild world of Julie. I should probably end this entry soon. matt must be getting bored even though everyone around here is pretty engrossed in the sox game.
annnnd matt is asleep haha so whatever :)
