You know the best way to start out a Friday? Getting pulled over by the cops at a very popular before-school venue, such as that of the Wag-a-Bag at Sunrise and Old Settlers. Yes folks, Leah has gotten her first traffic citation. And I even outdid myself and made it a double violation. It was lovely. To set the scene, I'm driving along in the school zone, going the speed limit, as there is a cop ahead of me. Well, I'm almost out of the school zone, and then cop does a u-turn and heads the opposite direction. Then I pass him, and he does another u-turn, to follow me. Well, I'm driving, still going the speed limit. He doesn't turn on his lights or sirens, but instead waits for me to turn into the Wag-a-Bag (I was going to get my Dr. Pepper for the day), and THEN turn on his lights for all to see. I wait patiently for him to come greet me, all the while with the probing eyes of the people in the store, in the parking lot, and driving by. Most of the owners of those eyes being people who go to my school. Turns out he pulled me over for what I thought the reason was; expired registration AND inspection. How he homed in on those small window stickers from across the way, I don't know. So, he takes my license and goes back to his car to write up my ticket. First time I get pulled over. No warning. Goodie. It took him TEN MINUTES. Seriously now. ANyway, after that, I went into the store and got my Dr. Pepper, and then went to school, where I'm sure I'll be known as "the girl who got pulled over on the gas station parking lot" for at least the rest of my high school career, which, thankfully, is only a few more weeks. Very Embarrassing Moments:1- Leah:0.
On a slightly humorous note: On my way back from Pok-e-Jo's, while taking a gander into a different gas station parking lot, I saw my favorite po-po. With his lights on... and writing a ticket. Hah.
