I'm going to MELBOURNE! Yep, in about a week and a half I'll be hopping on a plane and spending some time in Australia's arts & music capital. I'm really looking forward to it. I had to use my stupid Virgin blue credit (awful airline, ugggggh, but anyway, long story short I have a $480 credit with them). My lovely friend Amelia is going as well, but she's flying Jetstar and it cost her $40 less. I don't even LIKE Virgin Blue...and they don't have free movies. Neither does Jetstar, but for $40 more, VB should! Okay, enough whining about the airline.
Last year while Tracee, Jeremy and I were in Sydney we met a super fun character by the name of Adrian who just happens to live in Melbourne and he is very enthusiastic about showing Amelia and I the sights. I'm also hooking up with a former St FX exchange student...he came for a semester in grade 11. Poor guy. You come from Australia to Canada for an exciting semester away from home and end up in Hammond, ON? I feel like he got a little screwed there, but what can you do? Anyway, it's been 11 years since I last saw him so it should be quite interesting.
Yay, I feel like I'm ticking off things to do and places to see! I was invited on a 4 day trip to Byron Bay (which would be awesome!!!!) but I guess I'm kind of feeling old and lame. I know all the girls going, but they're all single and 3 or 4 years younger than me and for some reason I feel uncomfortable about going. Old married lady. Ackkk!
Why is everyone in my class 23??????? Damn Australia and your superior school system.
