did this weekend actually happen?

i have spent all day attempting to write it all down, try to organize the weekend, &c &c, but... when i write it all out, it feels so-- plain. simple. un-fun. which is the total opposite of how the weekend was!

so-- i think i'll just post pictures, tweets, and little stories that pretty much sum everything up!

  • TWEET: doing the cha cha slide whilst in a moving vehicle. PREPARE YOURSELF, VIRGINIA. WE'RE COMING.

  • TWEET: in fredericksburg city limits! i can smell busch gardens~ :) (...not really, haha)

  • TWEET: and i'm in the hotel room!!! can't wait to swim tonight, wake up tomorrow, and see the ladies + the ~dudes!

  • our hotel room was a suite that had two separate bedrooms with a bathroom for each, and then there was a shared living room, dining room, and kitchen. i was like *______* at it all night.

we watched the soup and chelsea lately until midnight-- then it was officially my birthday, so my parents lit the candles on cupcakes and they and helen sang me happy birthday, and then they gave me their gifts for me. all in all, it was so sweet of all of them, and i wanted to cry. :)

  • TWEET: ringing in mah bday with jake&amir and greek yogurt. :)

  • then, we watched snl until we were too tired to stay awake, and we sacked out.

next day, we got to busch gardens. IT WAS STIFLING HOT. LIKE. I CAN'T EVEN ATTEMPT TO EXPLAIN JUST HOW HOT IT WAS. i wanted to wear that outfit i had posted, because i think it's so cute, but. THE PLAID WAS GOING TO MELT ME. so i changed into a t-shirt and shorts. and HOMG am i so glad i did.

we all rode the fun ski lift ride to "germany." i love ski lifts!

  • TWEET: just met @_sundayschild & @daylightshineon! aahhhh!

  • left them to melt in line (HAHA), and went to the curse of darkastle ride. i didn't want to go on it, after finding out that it was a 3d ride (3d scares the crap out of me), so mom and helen went on it, and dad and i stayed outside. whilst staying outside, we went over to a little souvenir/food shop to browse.

i got a text from kirsten asking where i was, so i told her, and she said she'd come and find me. i spotted her and julia outside, and promptly freaked!

then, who comes sidling up to us other than molly and dan! it was so. cool. finally meeting all them.

ERRYONE EXCEPT ME AND JULIA WENT TO RIDE THE GRIFFON. R U KIDDING ME. i mean, erryone, AND my parents and helen! how awesome! i was TERRIFIED for them-- (it is a terrifying ride)-- but they did fine! and we bought the pictures that the roller coaster took of them after the 205 foot 90 degree drop! haha! dan's rocking a fist pump. dad's eyes are squeezed shut. molly looks crazy. such good times.

helen and i met a bear. he was nice.

we also met a kyle. he was nice too.

  • TWEET: WE ALL JUST MET KYLE PEEK. WHAT.

  • because helen and i stayed behind to meet the bear, we lost track of molly, dan, julia, and kirsten, who were off to find the heaven bathroom. (HAHA.) we went looking for them/bathroom, and what do we see:

all of them talking to two dudes, AND KYLE PEEK.

    WHAT.

i turned to helen and was like, holy shit, and we ran up to the group. kyle looked at me-- maybe someone in the group said to introduce myself, idek-- and i stuck out my hand and was like, "hey kyle, nice to meet you." didn't even say my name. HAHA. and he was like, "nice to meet you too," and we shook hands.

    hahahahaha. WHAT.

the line was hella long, but we were like, RIGHT AT THE FRONT OF IT. i wrote on the back on lexee's poster. got sharpie on my leg. talked to some girls in front of us about how hot it would be if dave covered britney spears's toxic. you know. normal conversation.

at 4, we moved onto the field, in front of the stage. security told people not to run, BUT SOME PEOPLE TOTALLY DID OKAY. either way, we still got SECOND. FREAKING. ROW.

    WHAT.

    ...then we waited.

  • TWEET: less than an hour. is this real life.

  • and then it was 6 o'clock.

    and then...

    it feels like a dream.

david saw a poster that said something like, "guitar picks for your littlest fans?" so what did he do?

he brought the littlest fans on stage.

    of course.

and he gave them guitar picks.

    of course.

at some point, dave spotted a poster that said, "my dad has a mancrush on monty!" so what did he do?

he found the dad in the audience.

    of course.

and brought the dad onto the stage.

    of course.

and then began singing love me sexy, from semi-pro.

    ...of course.

(it was really sexy, too. like. singing the words, "love me sexy," in this deep voice. and then heavily breathing into the mic. hng.)

then dave spotted someone holding an etch-a-sketch in the audience, so what did he do?

    yep.

    and then he--?

    uh-huh.

SOME DAVE/NEAL, 'CAUSE I KNOW I GOT SOME LOVERS ON MY FLIST, Y'ALL~

then-- and i'm sure you've all heard the story-- dave spotted the archuleta t-shirt that julia had brought along.

so he had us throw it on stage.

    and he put it on.

even though it is many sizes too small for him.

and he wore it while he sang "light on."

    nbd.

  • TWEET: a. maz. ing.

  • TWEET: (meant to be made out to @thedavidcook, but i forgot the @thedavidcook) thank you for the incredible concert. most amazing 17th birthday ever.

  • i bought a david cook shirt-- it's a white t-shirt, and it has a black tie on it, with a "DC" at the end of the tie. I LIKE IT, OKAY.

we had to leave festhaus park, because they were preparing for the fireworks.

    but we found a poster.

and i had those fake mustaches.

    so.

    some stuff went down.

the security guards saw it, and lol'd so hard, and said they loved it and they wouldn't take it down.

    \O/

it was an amazing birthday, and an amazing DAY in general, primarily because of the amazingness that is: david cook, my friends, and my family.

    oh, and fake mustaches, too.

that time: it was the best day ever, personal: my parents, personal: friends, boy: david cook, boy: neal tiemann
