Song of the Day: Guster - What You Wish For
Thought of the Day: "I get stuck between all the things I mean but I don't think I mean much anyway" - Ben Kweller
Yesterday was the craziest busy day ever. Good lord. But it was a good day. I worked in the morning for Dad up at the store, then I came flying home and took a shower, and then went and got my hair cut and dyed. Which took a really long time. But I like getting my hair cut so I didn't mind. After the hair I went to High Priestess to get a gift certificate for Aimee, and find out how much my piercings are going to be. At this point I was about an hour later than I expected to be, so I went home and restyled my hair because I really didn't like how the lady did it.
Matt R. and Dad were already there when I got home, and then at like 5:00 Matt Barton, his girlfriend Sara, and Melissa came over. It was just like old times except Lorie didn't come. Matt made his veggie pockets, and Melissa totally schooled him with the veggie boats. We all ate way more food than we probably should have too. Marquah even stopped by (it was his birthday yesterday) and we fed him some more of our leftovers. Aimee came over at like 10 (it was her birthday too), but she didn't stick around to do much because she wanted to go out with Tim and Cody and them, so I hung out with Matt until like 2 when I went to bed. But it was an awesome day.
Today I'm hoping I will talk to either Raxel or Jen really soon, because I need to bum a ride downtown to go to Hilyard and somewhere else that I can't say because it's a surprise for somebody who has a birthday tomorrow.
And finally I have to end with a rant. Why on earth do people keep saying it's not a good time to travel? People have been saying that since 9/11. WHY THE HELL IS IT A BAD TIME TO TRAVEL!? If anything, EVERYBODY should be travelling right now. If it's supposedly a bad time because there's a lot of negative feelings towards Americans, then people SHOULD be travelling, and actively working to breakdown stereotypes about Americans, and improving relations with people in other countries. If people are unafraid and well ecucated there is no reason not to travel and see the world. In my opinion, flying is no more dangerous today than it was September 10, 2001. So go somewhere.
