Big changes on the horizon

In a few days, I begin my last semester of college. It's scary how fast it went. It'll be even scarier when it's really over. I've been applying to jobs here and there. I was hoping to pick up another job for the semester, but I think I'm going to have to make do with GSA. It's extremely convenient to make my own hours and work from home. $10 is probably as good as I'll get... sure as hell won't make that in shitty retail. And I don't want to work weekends, so waiting tables is out. I'll just have to suffer through a few more months of having little to no money, or try to bully more work out of Sunny.

First issue of Jagazine arrived today. It looks good. I'm a little unhappy that the cover is a bit pixelated, but that's our fault. I knew we should've requested a bigger image from the artist, rather than just blowing up his Deviant Art file. It looked a bit better in Photoshop, but eh. It's not terrible, and the inside looks sweet. And anyway, it's just the first issue. Issue two already looks dope and I just started, so we can only go up from here.

I've been thinking a lot about this summer, and how I will be going back home at the end of July. I doubt Rob will be coming with me, but we'll see. If he gets a job in NYC, it'd make more sense to live at his mom's. My parents agreed that we can pretty much rent the downstairs of their house for next to nothing (just toss them a few bucks to cover utilities). So we'd have our own bathroom, kitchen, living room, etc.

I'm relieved to be going back home, because I need to start saving money. And I certainly can't do that when I'm making barely enough to cover house bills. Hopefully by August I have a steady income, and I'm able to pay for my car insurance and phone. It turns out, neither are as expensive as I thought. My car insurance is somewhere around $100 a month, but that's with collision... which I'll probably take off since my car is getting up there in miles (80K). And my phone is around $47.

I need to make some changes when I go back home. I want to throw out/donate a lot of my stuff. I have a closet full of crap I don't use. I'll start buy dumping all my college notebooks and binders. Keep some stuff here and there, but get rid of most of it. Get rid of old shoes, old purses, everything that's been floating around my room since high school. I'm going to get a new comforter and bed set, since the lime green and blue is a bit much. Not going to worry about new furniture... that can wait until I move out. I'll also move my bedroom around a bit, since I don't like it's current layout.

I guess that's all that's been on my mind. The future. Everything there is, yet none of it's materialized yet.
