Today was the first real snow fall of the season. I love it when it snows, no matter how annoying it is to drive in or how miserably cold it gets. I hope there's snow on the ground for X-mas, that always makes me extra happy.
I went to the thrift store with my Mom earlier. I bought a bunch of ornaments and decorations and stuff. It's kind of interesting to think that these little things might be the starting point of my own collection of holiday crap. Throughout my whole life and before I was born, my parents bought decorations. Every year the collection got a little bigger. Now they have tons of little ornaments. Some are really old and falling apart, some have the year they were purchased on them. Up until now, I've just decorated the house with what was really their stuff. But now I have some of my own stuff. Most will be for decorating 79 Nichol since I'm there most of the time. And some will go to decorating my basement for X-mas Eve Eve.
It's sort of scary. I'm starting to collect things that I'll be taking with me when I move out. Who knows when that will be exactly, but the thought still lingers. I can't wait to start buying my own furniture. I know my first place will probably be far from extravagant, but I still look forward to being 'on my own'. Mm.
Dinner's ready, so I'll cut this short. Happy December. =)
