The quickest way to piss me off is to lie to me. I will tolerate all the stupid things someone does or doesn't do. The moment I catch you lieing to me is when you get an ear full.
Everyone has a Jason on their crew (I actually have five but thats a different story). Jason is lazy, it takes him forever to do the simplest tasks not to mention, makes them seem harder then they actually are. He was on 14. The job of being on 14 is to stock, organize, help the customers and keep it clean. Before I relieved him for last break I say, "Hey Jason, did you get everything stocked and zoned and what not?" He said he did and he went to break. Not even thirty seconds of home leaving I found he didn't do one damn thing. So I pulled my boss aside and let her witness me yell at him because I am so pissed off about being his keeper.
It takes less than five mins to stock ciggeretts. It takes about a mins to zone one register. It takes maybe 4 mins to clean the register and possibly five for batteries. ITS NOT THAT FUCKING HARD TO READ A LABEL!!! That boy better shape up because I am no longer tolerating his ass. I don't want to hear, "Where's Jason?" Or "What's Jason doing?" because no matter what assignment we all have... it ends up with him disappearing and me doing everything.
Over night cashiering isn't hard so why in the fuck is everyone asking me what to do? We do the same shit everyday... more like... I do the same shit and mostly in this order.
Clock on....
walk to the front helping customers on the way as well as grabbing returns on the way...
let the csm know that I am there, get my register number and if busy hop on if not....
grab garbage bags and a cart...
go through all the registers, wipe everything down, fill bags, dump trash and hangers in cart, grab items people stashed somewhere and zone...
make sure everyone has had their breaks...
take my break...
take the trash down...
separate the items in the carts by department and make sure customer service bins are emptied...
start getting lunches out....
Go though the registers again with the zoning and picking up unwanted items...
take the carts to department and stock them...
stock the 82....
doing all this and sometimes being pulled to do other shit by managers.
It would be really nice to have some help every now and then. I mean, they do work... but if they worked better, faster, harder, stronger.... we will have everything done with plenty of time to goof off and have fun.
