I do love Cold Mountain. It's... relaxing. And depressing, of course, but the southern accents (though they are apparently "off") and smooth voices and beautiful screen shots sort of calm me down. Also I might be a bit bitter about love in general and enjoy watching it go through all that trouble only to fail. Who knows.
But Renee Zellweger is just great in that movie. I adore her character, I really do. I'd forgotten about that quote.
So, I think I would like my tragic love story to take place in the south. And I can pretend like I'm southern, so we all have the accents. It would be wonderful. You know, in the tragic sense.
