I just saw the movie "Sideways" today. I must say I had fun watching it but, for everyone who is thinking of watching it in the future, keep these pointers in mind:
* You must be at least forty years of age and have gone through one or more divorces in order to identify with this film.
* Despite interesting character development and a few funny moments,
"This movie is just plain dull! It's first and fatal problem is that the main character is an uninteresting loser; the last person with whom you would want to spend two plus hours.
"Adding insult to injury, Mr. Payne plods along in low gear for more than an hour. After a while you tire of the cute wine banter and you're already tired of both of the male characters." (imdb review)
Bottom line: the movie is LONG, DULL, and NOT WORTH spending $9 and almost 2 and 1/2 hours of your time.
