Garibaldi can suck my ass. Danton too. Not to mention several hundred Henry's.

calling of the Estates General
National Assembly meets
Tennis Court Oath - swears to draw up a new constitution
gives way to Legislative Assembly - bicameral, votes by head - near-universal male suffrage; First Republic established (I think)
soon after, the moderate phase of revolution begins:
the Legislative Assembly gives way to the National Convention
and then what happens:
The Thermidorean Reaction
the Directory is the government in power, comprising a few select individuals; extremely corrupt
Committee of Public Safety - responsible for the Reign of Terror
headed by Danton, a radical Jacobin
he was assassinated in his bathtub, bringing Robespierre into power (White Terror)
next: something bad is going on with wars & stuff
so something happens where the gov't asks Napoleon to come in & help
so he establishes the consulate, with himself as head consul
then declares himself Emperor in some random declaration
and then establishes a humongous empire and spreads revolutionary ideals throughout (abolishes serfdom, etc.)
I know I knew all this stuff when I actually took the test for it. Too bad I slacked off for 2 months.

Yes, I think everyone took the question about the Reformation: so easy. I knew exactly one multiple choice: The Fronde = nobles. And I chose mass politics in the late 1800's and early 1900's as the second thematic essay. I remembered I actually never read the chapter about the Bolshevics.

So angry about the lack of Renaissance info on the multiple choice.

Oh well.
