my day downtown

to make this short, i went down town with my best friend holly and we took many pics, until i get a few minutes to write what happened (the freeloading at an art gallery, the adorable guy at the coffee shop, and such) heres some pics.

[edit]
okay, so it started at my house, when we woke up and decided that at 14:00 we would go out (by the way, am i the only person who ever measures time like this in my city?) and explore downtown --which is now dead and basically person-free except for indoors at the pud and what we think is a stripjoint-- what we've been dying to do all month since we last went in the summer.
So we went to the bus stop and took a few pics (see the first pic, also i've had many compliments on my uber picture taking talent XD.*fishes for compliments*) and then our bus arrived half an hour late (WTF?) so we got on and the toll has raised another 50 cents from two summers ago (bitches! >_<) and so it was 2 bucks for each of us and naturally holly expected i'd pay (jk, but you knew it, holly!) so we got to the bus and sat near the back  as a watched the teddy bear scarf holly borrowed snag on the bar and nearly strangle her (XD)
we got off the bus near the entrance to the bayside mall and stopped in future pastimes (basically a comic book store filled with manga and nerdy stuff, which i do in fact love to bits) and were engaged in a "who portrayed an adequite Lestat in anne rice's I.W.T.V (i.w.a.v?)" conversation saying that the characters they chose were just too dorky and not nearly sexy(my words) enough. and then i said "say what you will, alucard eats them ALL" and walked back to the hellsing section of the manga rack and flipped through number 6 grinning at bishies and such, leaving holly to get aragorn from LOTR and eragon from chris paolini's novel confused and switched around, sorry holly. (again XD)
so we walked out and went into the mall and passed by the art gallery, where i said we should check out.
there was about twenty people in there and colourful pictures of naked women ("wow, this just got really awkward and slightly uncomfortable. if i see any man-parts i'm leaving.")
and a FOOD... THINGY!
we asked if we could eat some and so we loaded up on punch, nanaimo bars (sp?) and something that sounds like tariyake (again, sp?) its my fave ever its water chestnut wrapped in bacon (usually with chicken liver in there too, but not this time. yum!)
i ate about seven of them and holly grabs more nanaimo bars (we call them nintendo bars, old family thing)and i asked if it was her third and she says "no, its my second. the last one was a brownie" and we walk out with our bellies filled and a world to explore. we passed the cafe three times and were very tempted to go in, but i didnt want to spend any money so we cheaped out for the day, until we walked by the lake and went to a no trespassing place (i'm such a rebel) outside to post office. it had a sign that said "no swimming, unknown submerged water hazards" which of course made my imagination go WHACKO and think of this eerie sharp blackened metal ball with spikes  and stuff submerged on a huge chain waiting to blow up in case (i dunno, the bismarck should happen to stroll by???) of contact.
and a big ole "no trespassing" which we ignored with great gusto  (and by gusto i mean dancing and yelling 'be a clown!', at least I was.)
so thats when i took the picture of holly by the big tree, cuz she didn't want to go all the way over the the floaty thingy that scares me so much (im dreadfully afraid of ice and water and drowning and stuff, im such a wuss, it just makes my knees shake but i look anyway. but i never walk on ice just to be safe ) thats attached to a chain about as wide as my head and like twenty feet long going down off this graffitied cylinder of cement (which i climbed onto like a dipshit guh-har!) and took pictures of the scccaaaaaary ice which i swung the chain at trying to break (smooth move, retard) --oh, and failed miserably at XD.
so i got down and climbed to the safety of the gravel, and we went down again by the cafe, and decided since we were going home soon anyway we might as well go and get some nice coffee or somthing, so we went in the nice warm coffee smelling place (and i looked around hopefully to see if Jason was there, i really want to call him, but i never know if i should) and saw a really cute guy at the cashier/counter.
he had light eyes (green or brown i think) and light brownish hair that was wavy and pulled into a frizzy ponytail at the base of his neck (yay for descriptions and hippy/artsy guys) so we ordered two slices of pizza (and holly wouldn't let me get the vegetarian pizza like i wanted, so i got mystery meat or something... meow! XD) and hot chocolate to split. so i kept smiling at this guy who was quite shy but friendly and probably made an ass of myself but to me, i was cool, collected, and totally mysterious B-) (XD yeah right, for gods sake i had teddy bear hair clips all over my head and pink eyeshadow on!)
so we got on the bus home after and it looked real dark so we had to get home quickly but the bus didn't go the right way and so we had to walk  across a schoolyard to get home (which wasn't that bad) and then holly slept over again for the night and went home the next day. the end.
