You know what sucks? Having an otherwise generally good morning end with you yelling at your kid because he always always always asks for food (toast, specifically) as you're gathering up your lunch and are ready to hustle everyone out the door. Every. Damn. Day. Today I kinda blew up at him about it, slapped some butter on dry bread, thrust it at him and said NO. MORE. If he wants to eat, he has to eat with Dad while I'm getting ready. He was all wary and weepy eyed, but had gone back to his adorable self by the time we got to school. Still... kind of a happy mood killer.
Know what's not a mood killer? Having my tub be as clean as it has ever been. I have tried EVERYTHING. And different scrubbers in addition to cleaners. All on a textured tub bottom that just doesn't want to come clean.
But I think I mentioned that this past year I wanted to go more natural for cleaning. Vinegar, baking soda, peroxide and the like. After, of course, I had used up all the unnatural cleaning supplies I had. Well, that day finally came and I decided to try the Pinterest tub cleaner thing that had gone around. And lo and behold! IT WORKED! Like a charm! My tub is dazzling white!
Of course, I did modify it a bit, but here's what my 'recipe' was:
Sprinkle tub with baking soda.
In squirt or spray bottle, mix half vinegar/half water.
Add a drop or two of Dawn dishwashing liquid. (Literally. I used very little.)
Mix well by shaking.
Spray over baking soda.
Let sit for about 15 minutes (Or however long it took me to do the toilet and sink)
Clean off with scrubbie sponge (very little to no scrubbing needed)
Voila!
