I'm baaack! And ohmygosh, Europe is so beautiful. Too bad that we had no air conditioning the entire trip, and if you've been watching the news lately, you'll know that Europe is going through a giant heatwave...weather around 100 degrees. Fun.
My trip in a nutshell-
-Our tour manager was British(!) and his name was Daniel and I was determined to make him my BFF
-We went to endless amounts of castles
-Also endless art museums, which was really awesome. I got to see an entire exhibit of Gustav Klimt and I was excited.
-We went to 4 countries- Austria, Liechtenstein, Germany, and Switzerland
-And okay, I NEED to talk about these salt mines that we went to:
-First, you went down a flight of stairs and you had to put on these lovely white jumpsuits that made you look like a marshmallow
-Then, you went on a train that was made of wooden...planks...I don't know how to describe it. You basically had to sit straddling the wooden plank and you were in eachothers' laps.
-After that, you went down a wooden slide
-Then, you went on a boat on an underground lake
-Another wooden slide
-You got to cross the border between Austria and Germany underground, which was really cool.
-Then you finally got to see some salt. Haha.
-We went on a giant toboggan run! It was really fun.
-We went to the top of the highest mountain in Switzerland, Mt. Pilatus. BEAUTIFUL.
-The last thing we did was go to a resturant called "Stadtkeller", which was a traditional Swiss folk resturant where everyone was drunk and singing drinking songs and my mom had to go onstage and yodel in front of the resturant. Frau and Daniel made fun of me, because at dinner I was telling them how my dad always volunteers for stuff and they embarrass me. And of course, my mom gets picked to freaking YODEL. Then right after that, the waitress grabbed me from my seat and got everyone from my table to grab my hand and go around the resturant in a train/kickline.
Aaaand I've been flying on planes since midnight last night. WOO!
