For those who didn't know (ie everyone except
jekesta), I was in an LJ World Cup sweepstake where instead of money we all spent a couple of pounds on sweets, toys and other awesome things, and
jekesta collected them to go to the eventual winner. Well I drew Spain, and they only went and won! This is the post I put on our sweepstake community
quantumsweep.
At about lunchtime today, there was a knock at the door and the postman handed me an ENOURMOUS and very HEAVY box.
Look at the beautifully decorated label and the little Spain stickers!
I opened the box and here is what I found:
Wow!
So many layers!
They just kept coming!
Until I got to the bottom
After I'd finally taken everything out of the box and had major squeeing fits over it all, I put it all together which looked like this:
HOW BRILLIANT IS THAT?!
I love everything, but here are some of my favourites from the Box Of Joy:
A massive bag of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - one of my favourite sweets ever!
Thomas the Tank Engine pencil case and pencil! I am going to take this to work to put all my pens and pencils in. I actually work in the railway industry so it is very appropriate and my colleagues will love it!
DC Comics graphic novel! This is a 1989 original called Secret Origins, and my husband (who is a big comics geek) went absolutely potty over it as I pulled it out of the box so it is definitely one of our favourites!
So THANK YOU so much everyone for sending such amazing stuff, it has really made my day to get such a big box of goodies, I have been grinning ever since! And a huge thank you to
jekesta for organising the sweepstake and packaging everything up so beautifully :D
