The One That's Brightly Coloured

Considering that I slept very late this morning, it's been a remarkably productive day, and my good mood was not marred too much by Henrik Larsson in the 90th minute, although it did take the wind out of my sails rather.

With nothing pressing to do today I decided to hit the shops.  John Rocha at Debenhams Oxford Street is becoming my favourite place for clothes these days, and I had to restrain myself from trying on everything on the rails.  In the end I bought a bright red vest from John Rocha, a really pretty blue with white trim dance style t-shirt from Pineapple, and another red ruched top from Warehouse.

Something has happened to my confidence over the last couple of months and a side effect is making me want to wear bright colours instead of swathes of black and white.  I can't explain why but it has three results: one, it makes me a hundred times happier; two, it's why I'm fighting off guys at the moment (and loving every minute of it); and three, it means I spend twice as much money on clothes because I'm filling my wardrobe with red and electric blue.

I finished off the shopping with two new pairs of work shoes - the first with stiletto heels which I shall have to keep in my locker and change into once I get to work, because I'll never manage to negotiate Bank station in them, and the second gorgeous flats with pointed toes and an asymmetric design.  I'm getting a reputation at work for not being able to resist buying shoes.  It's true that if there were any accessory I was likely to develop a healthy platonic fetish for it would definitely be shoes.

Back home and straight out again for a run which felt bloody fantastic.  That's the third time I've been out running in maybe ten days - unheard of for me.  I don't know what's got into me, but I suspect SSP's influence as he's a serious runner and is rather good at motivating me.  I can tell the difference already after just a couple of weeks - I have so much energy and my mood is consistently high and I'm craving fruit and vegetables like never before.  Tch, I should fall for a new man more often.

treenybopper has gone on a date tonight.  I am jealous.  I want a date.  Although I did manage to somehow offer GCG a massage yesterday, not quite sure how that happened.

And finally, isn't Joe Cole just lovely?  Man of the match for me as well as FIFA.  Do you think Sven would mind if I borrowed him for a little while?
