That man has balls. Not that we'll actually hear that quote on the mainstream media new programs, oh no.

I'll refrain from posting my comment on this quote because I don't think you want to hear it.

That's exactly what I expect to hear from a Green Party member. Nice to see he had just enough devotion to his son to use him to forward his own political views. I imagine his son, on the other hand, is probably looking on from the afterlife and yelling "Yeah, take that, motherfucker!"

I think he'd be more likely to ask St. Peter if he could be the one to pull the lever sending this reject down into the fiery pits of the afterlife. But yeah, he'd probably yell that too.

That may be, but the man still had a point that I can respect. It's easier to order the killing when you don't have to do it yourself.

I wouldn't know. I've been a triggerman, but I've never made the order. Either way, I'd have done Zarqawi for free.

It occurs to me that Berg's point is probably invalidated by an issue of perception. Zarqawi considered Nicolas Berg nothing more than a goat or a pig...less than human. There's no real chance for a remorseful stay of hand when you honestly don't consider the thing you're killing to be a living creature with a soul. Zarqawi had to look Berg in the eyes, true...but he didn't see a fellow human being in those eyes.

I'd have paid good money for an opportunity to spit on Zarqawi's body while his family watched.
