And if I weren't a procrastinator, this research paper would be over. But as we all know, I am not, therefore the paper is not. More is the pity as I have a lot of TL work to do in the lab tomorrow and so I shall be up all night writing yet again. You would think that by graduate school I would have learned my lesson about procrastination. I somewhat have as I did in fact start on this project well in advance. However, a change in circumstances last week unfortunately caused a change in scope therefore negating much of my previous work. That's why I don't start things early, no point. Especially important is the fact that any work I had done is trapped on the Laptop That Will Not Turn On (LTWNTO). I hate Dell. I just custom ordered a shiny brand new Macbook yesterday that I am way excited about. Was not thrilled with the amount of a brand new Macbook of course, but if it lasts me the next three years AND causes half the trouble of either the Dell or the Gateway did in either of their first years, then it will be worth it. I am so tired of laptop problems. I just want something reliable to do my research on. Too much to ask? I certainly hope not. The Man has essentially the same one and gave me tips on what to customize for my uses. I am optimistic that this is a good investment. Plus I secretly wanted an Apple notebook for a while because they have that mysterious, powerful air about them. Now I have one on the way! Let's hope I can figure out how to use it quickly enough since as noted above it is not the end of the quarter, and I have plenty of work to get done in the next few weeks before I can focus momentarily on my thesis and then Guatemala, yay!!! Please let this be a good investment, I am so tired of laptop issues hindering me.
