Almost there...
So with the tail ready for stuffing, footpaws done, and handpaws made....what else for a husky girl to do?...
Ah the head! Yes...all day. First you take that head of yours, all taped up.
"But Kiska," you ask, "why taped?"
Well...it makes life easier. Furring-wise, anyways. See, esp if you have markings or more than one color, it's nice to have the tape. You have a pattern. Mark it up. Make arrows for fur direction. Section colors off. And have a pretty well exact fit when all's said and done.
So marking it off...
Now all marked off and symetrical? Good! Next...pick a color...maybe one you have less of...lay out your fur and cut off all the spots for that color. If you have one color, awesome, cut it all out and make it lay flat and fur going the right way...
Ok so all my white-ish color is off. Spread them out on the fur, making sure the arrows you notated are going the same direction as the fur...and that they lay flat. Dart if necessary.
Now cut, and stash those pieces. Got get your other fur. Rinse, repeat.
So now...just sew everything together. I started with darting on my lower muzzle, then did the two pieces under the nose to connect them...
After a lot of hand-sewing (best way, really, in the long run)
Now detail work. Gluing, shaving, teeth, tongue, inner muzzle colors, etc.... (all gonna be done tomorrow)
Voila!
