The loss of a legend

Jun 23, 2008 08:10

We lost a comedic and social intelligence legend. George Carlin died at the age of 71. He lived a broad and full life - yet died too soon. I would have loved for him to be able to say his 7 words on television - at least once.
I never got to see him perform in person - that would have been great. His recent friendship with Kevin Smith gave a new generation a glimpse of a great actor whose comedic timing was a forced to be reckoned with. We all loved him as Rufus in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, and then as the Cardinal in Dogma...2 of his roles that stand out the most, in my mind.

Bye George.
