As most of you know, I hate country music. I was wondering about this, because country music tends to have the same themes as in Irish or Scottish folk songs: freedom, violence, drinking, and being on the wrong side of the law.
As we were driving to OC on Tuesday, a song came up on the iPod that was from a CD Steve had loaded on there. This time, instead of turning it right off I asked, "What's that twangy instrument?"
Steve explained that it's a steel guitar:

I will never be able to listen to country music, but at least now I can clearly tell you *why*.
