Retail Therapy I - The Perfect Pair of Shoes
White Collar; Peter Burke/Elizabeth Burke/Neal Caffrey, NC/17
Summary: It's sale time at Barney's New York, and Elizabeth has her eyes on at least two pair of Christian Louboutins with five-inch high heels.
If I was trying to explain to someone why people have a shoe fetishes, I would probably link them to this fic and go "do you get it now?" because this fic is smoking and I think it really showcases a lot of what is awesome about this kink. Also the shoes that Elizabeth is getting? Amazing!
Circular Wagering
iCarly; Sam/Freddie, PG
Summary: As far as payoffs went, it wasn’t the worst thing they had ever done. Sam and Freddie and a wager that becomes a habit.
This feels so much like Sam and Freddie, feels like something that could fit right into canon itself, that I was excited more about the fact that it was a Seddie fic (and how much do I love that there are canon fanwars, Seddie vs. Creddie?) than the kink itself at first. However, the kink sort of fell into place and I found myself smiling and going "yeah. it could happen like that."
Discover Me Discovering You
Glee; Blaine/Kurt, R
Summary: And the thing is, the more he thinks about it, the more distinctly suspicious things he remembers. Like how hesitant Blaine had been when he first offered to rub Kurt's feet. The way he always blushed and squirmed when Kurt dug his toes into Blaine's thigh to get his attention. The way Blaine always had to stop way sooner than usual when they started making out after he'd been rubbing Kurt's feet.
Quick note: contains characters under the age of 18. If anyone on Glee was going to have a foot fetish, I'd expect it to be Kurt. What I really like about this fic, though, is the way it shows Kurt slow realization that he's okay with this and it doesn't matter that it's a "weird" thing for Blaine to like, because Kurt likes it too. The fic is very sweet, and like the other Glee rec on this list, really taps into the things I like about Glee.

Star Trek Reboot; Kirk/McCoy, R
Summary: Jim wonders why he's never really paid attention to Bones's feet before.
Another sweet, careful first-time story. This one is a little different, but it has the same elements I like: the reassurance that both parties are getting something out of this, the slow realization that this is something a character wants.
En Pointe
Dollhouse RPF; Eliza Dushku/Summer Glau, PG-13
Summary: In 2001, Eliza sees Summer for the first time when she's filming an episode of Angel.
I think the thing that I really enjoy about dancing is the way, as this fic actually captures, a dancer's feet are totally mesmerizing. It's not even a sexual thing, really. It's just the way that they turn and twist and feet are really cool, okay? There's just something really amazing about all the things they can do.
I'll Whisper Your Name Without Fault
Glee; Tina/Mercedes, R
Summary: Tina knows nothing about shoes.
Quick note: contains characters under the age of 18. So I like shoes. I took a fashion history class and my teacher was very into shoes, which made us into shoes and it's a vicious cycle. The point here really is that I love the descriptions of the shoes her, the way everything feels a little uncertain, and the way this fic seems to tap into what I like about Glee. (The things I don't like about Glee are for another post.) This just seems very natural and unforced to me, and it's nice.
Fancy Free
American Idol/Twighlight RPF; Adam Lambert/Robert Pattinson, R
Summary: Robert Pattinson, as it turned out, was a toe-sucker.
This fic is truly funny. It seems completely effortless in the way it mixes hotness with humor, and I really appreciate that, because it can be a hard thing to pull off. This story however, is the perfect blend of the two.
Enhanced Interrogation Techniques
NCIS; DiNozzo/McGee, NC-17
Summary: Top of the list of things to do this morning was work out how to get out of the plastic cuffs that were holding his arms above his head.
Something about this story just seems really sweet to me. Perhaps it's the way you can feel that the characters really care about each other or the way it's so relaxed and playful. Whatever it is, I really like this story.
Distraction Techniques
Sherlock (TV); John/Sherlock, R
Summary: Sherlock is distracting, John should be used to that by now.
I just really like the way this fic plays out, the fact that it feels really dirty and that there's something unsaid going on there, something so Sherlock and John.
Living Eucharist
The Bible; Jesus Christ/John the Baptist, R
Summary: John offers Jesus a drink. Jesus does the same in return.
Then, to round out this list, something that's probably going to get me sent to hell. Whenever I think of this kink, though, I am led back to all of the foot washing and things like that in the Bible. This fic has such captivating style that it reminded me why I think of that.
