Pre-Notes: Sometimes I sit on my couch watching the Food Network and eating kisses, then suddenly I'm looking at the kisses going "I should give
1st_eggokage a handful of these instead of making out with her. Less messy." which turned into "hey which asexual characters would do that?" even though I didn't have a food square on any of my cards at the time. That's okay, though, because it's now it's part of the first vertical line bingo on
this card. :D

Summary: Jesse isn't really that big on kissing.
oh, kiss me
Jesse isn't really that big on kissing.
He'll let Andrew do it, but Andrew gets the feeling that it's one of the things that Jesse lets happen because he's somehow rationalized it in his head. Which, Andrew gets that Jesse's had to do a lot of rationalizing in his previous relationships, but he'd really rather not make Jesse do anything that he doesn't get something out of so physically kissing is pretty much out unless it's Jesse-initiated. Still, Andrew kind of wants to kiss Jesse all the time.
It's sort of a conundrum until Andrew sees the bowl of silver kisses on the food service table. He picks one up, curling his fingers around it and going to find Jesse. When he does find Jesse, Andrew sets the silver kiss into Jesse's palm. Jesse blinks at it.
"What's this?"
Andrew curls Jesse's fingers around it, "A kiss."
"I know that," Jesse says, "I meant, um, why are you giving it to me?"
"It's a replacement," Andrew kisses Jesse and then pulls away, "Instead of doing that, I'm giving you the candy."
There's a brightness in Jesse eyes as he uncurls his fingers. Unwrapping the kiss, Jesse presses it past his lips and lets it melt on his tongue. His eyes flutter shut, and Andrew watches. Sometimes, he wonders if Jesse even understands how hot he tends to be without trying-except Andrew knows the answer to that: Jesse doesn't. He's entirely unaware of his looks and the way he drives Andrew crazy.
Jesse swallows, and Andrews watches as the muscles in his neck work. There's a smile playing at Jesse's lips when Andrew looks back at Jesse's face, and Andrew finds himself smiling too.
"Thank you," Jesse says.
Andrew manages: "You're welcome."
There isn't anything more to it than that, really, but sometimes Jesse makes Andrew want things that he's not comfortable taking, even though Jesse will always offer. They're still working out the mechanics of what they do, what they can and can't do, and Jesse is always willing to put up with a lot more than Andrew, who still isn't comfortable roping Jesse into sex that he doesn't want to be having. So it's things like this that help make them work, help keep them from falling apart.
It becomes a thing, actually. Jesse will press little silver kisses into Andrew's palm and Andrew will do the same for Jesse. Justin thinks it's disgustingly cute, and Brenda keeps saying that they're not in a Disney movie and they can kiss all they want, but Jesse will just smile shyly and press another kiss into Andrew's palm. Andrew doesn't mind, although Fincher is actually starting to give him looks that Andrew chooses to interpret as if you get fat because you're eating too many of those I will end you. It's not that big of a deal otherwise, and it's something that Andrew expects will stop after they stop filming.
He really should have known better, he thinks, because it's actually a surprise when a very large Hersey's kiss gets delivered to his trailer. Emma sees it before Andrew can put it anywhere hidden, and she raises an eyebrow. Andrew just rubs at his neck with the hand that isn't holding the massive chocolate and grins sheepishly.
"It's a kiss," Andrew says, "Jesse and I used to give them to each other in place of physical kisses."
"That's sickeningly cute," Emma shakes her head, "I don't know how people even stand to be around you two."
To be honest, Andrew doesn't know either but he eats his gigantic kiss and sends Jesse eight bags of various kinds of kisses and then finds that you can send virtual ones will messages and proceeds to send one or eight of those. He gets some back, messages full of the usual Jesse, and Emma keeps shaking her head at them and calling them sappy. And literally diabetic. Andrew usually just flips her off, but Emma doesn't seem particularly offended by it.
She even points out that you can send people roses made out of kisses, which Andrew thinks is brilliant. Jesse comes to see him in person after that one, surprising Andrew and tangling their fingers together.
"Hi," he says softly, "I got the flowers. I didn't know if I could beat that, but then I figured that I could could do this."
Before Andrew has any time to react, honestly, Jesse is pressing his lips to Andrew's gently. It shouldn't be a brilliant, fantastic, amazing kiss. It somehow is a brilliant, fantastic, amazing kiss.
But, Andrew thinks, he might just like the foil-wrapped variety better.
