Meaning that having your personal space infiltrated by someone doesn't always necessarily guarantee you'll be worn out by them being there. Sometimes, it's nice just having someone near.

You missed the part that said you're supposed to be alone in the comfortable space so you don't keel over and die from whatever you two get up to.
