Sometimes your rhythm's off, you read the person right but still do the wrong thing. - My Blueberry Nights

I'm looking forward to the next stage production and I'm glad you signed up for it, Akazawa. I didn't think you would want to. Do your best! You know I'll be here to support you. :) By the way, has Niisama written to you yet ( Read more... )

Now there's a thought worth pondering. If you read the person right then is it really the wrong thing you do?

Well, I suppose having the ability to read people correctly doesn't always constitute to reacting in the right manner. There's thought processing somewhere in between that, and the actual desire to want to do the right thing as well.

Hmm, I suppose you are right; the eternal quandary between doing what is right and what is necessary, mm? You can read them enough to know what ought to be done but not what they want?

Or know what they want but realize they don't want it from you.

True. Or realise that what they want from you is not what is best for them. Or you.

And then realize that even if you told them they'd insist otherwise, because it's human nature to look after what we want first and screw the rest, which sucks especially if you -know- you are right but then you really can't say so without starting an argument and there are just some people you really don't want to fight with.

Especially if the argument would only result in a further lack of communication which would only serve to worsen the matter.

Agreed, so sometimes it better not to say anything at all, especially if you want to see that person continuing to be happy in the first place. Besides, it isn't a big deal to let one small thing go. The world isn't going to end if you do.

Certainly. Of course, the question would be how many of us have the strength of mind to remind ourselves of that fact.

As well.

Brilliant. I'll let Shishido know he isn't required to feed me this afternoon.
