I picked up my grades last week and although they were more than satisfactory, I had hoped to score a little bit higher. So I'm thinking to spend a lot of my extra time at the library, reading up and working on other things for class ( Read more... )

study, woes, niisama, akazawa, winter break

And this is comin' from the guy who tells me to take care of myself, da ne. Ya don't wanna work TOO hard, da ne. I've seen what lack of sleep can do to a person, da ne. I know I get slap happy when I don't sleep, da ne. Just don't over do it, alright?

I never said anything about lacking sleep, Yanagisawa-san. Just that I would be at the library more often. I do, however, appreciate the thought and will try not to overdo it.

Good 'cause I wouldn't wanna have to haul your sleepin' butt back to your room or somethin' da ne! :)

Akazawa would beat you to it if I needed to be brought back in that manner. And perhaps you ought to spend more time in the library yourself then - have you finished all your homework yet?

Not ALL... Besides, I don't really like libraries, da ne. Too stuffy, da ne. I prefer to stretch across my bed with my music playin' while I study. Hey wait! You say that like I'm stupid or somethin' da ne!

Of course not, I don't think you're stupid. I just meant that there would be more reference material at the library, though staying in bed and listening to music does sound more appealing in a way. The library, however, has books! Volumes and volumes, and knowledge hidden away until you turn a page.

Gettin' a little excited over those books there, da ne... Not that I don't read, but it's good to get out and DO stuff too. I prefer tennis, but it's too cold right now, da ne. Damn winter! Breeds laziness if ya ask me, da ne.

You say it as if I don't go out and do other things. D: But I'll have you know, I also tend to my garden outside - though the weather has been disagreeable for doing that lately. Perhaps I should start shoveling? And no, the weather doesn't breed laziness. A person decides to be lazy on his own.

ooc: Strikes are because Atsushi realized he was rambling and decided not to continue. lol

Well when it's too damn cold to go outside, and you stay couped up in your room or something, you tend to lay around.

There are lots of other things to do inside, rather than just laze about.

Oh yeah? Like what, da ne? I'd like to hear this, da ne.

Well, since reading is out of the question as you would just laugh at me for saying so... A game maybe? Or just talking with someone over a cup of tea? Or rearranging your bookshelf? Or exploring the school?

Board games are always fun. Yuki-chan had gotten everyone into Apples to Apples, but we learned that the more people there are, the more fun it is, da ne. And even more so when there's alcohol involved, da ne. But I've never been one to drink all that much. Just a glass or 2 of some cheap wine, da ne. And I would not laugh at you for readin', da ne. I read some myself, da ne. Just not somethin' I wanna spend all day, every day doin', da ne. I prefer to stay active, da ne. Ya know, I was kinda thinkin' that maybe you could show me archery sometime, da ne. And I don't mean as a target, da ne. I mean showin' me how it's done. I've always wanted to try.

What is Apples to Apples? And I don't understand how having alcohol would make it more fun - is it better if you play drunk?

You can love reading and still be active. I admit, I'm probably not as physically active as others but I do have my own way of exercising.

Also, I wouldn't have a problem with showing you, Yanagisawa-san. You can come with me in the mornings if you'd like. Just set a date.

Apples to Apples is a comparison game where one person throws down a green card that has a description, let's say "fantastic" and the other players have to throw down red cards of people, places, things and events that the 'judge' would think is "fantastic". Then the judge picks one of them and whoever threw that card down is the winner of that round. You take turns being judge. The game says play to 10 but we usually go past that. Sometimes it seems more fun when 2 or more people have been drinking a little as the subjects tend to get amusing or perverted in some cases. Makes for a great party game, da ne.
As far as that date, I guess whenever's good for you, da ne. :)

It doesn't exactly sound like a party game, but I've never played it so I really wouldn't know. Would you show me next time?

Sunday morning then.
