Princess Celestia cosplay in 1/3 scale

OK, so I decided a few months back that it would be super cool fun to take one of my BJDs to Anime USA in a MLP cosplay getup, specifically Princess Celestia. Well, a Japanese gijinka version of Celestia, to be precise. Like so:

==Koi is a 1/3 scale female doll who presently plays a kitsune and has fox legs/paws instead of human legs. Can switch these out for hooves, making her a biped pony.
==Have acquired two pastel rainbow doll wigs, one for her head, one to make into a horse tail. Considering putting the "mane" up in hairsticks so I can hang sparklies from them. Tail is going to be wired into the obi bow so that I can put the whole thing on in one piece.
==Since Celestia wears a tiara and collar but no clothes, my first thought was to just put her in something flowy and white, but then I had the brainstorm of making her a kimono set in a sun-moon-star-type pattern pattern (her insignia is a sun and her sister's is a crescent moon). Pretty, different, and gives me much needed kimono practice. Took this and ran with it.
==Jeweled tiara and collar: maybe sculpey on a wire framework, maybe fabric on same. Undecided. Purple acrylic gems on order. Tiara when worn rests on Celestia's horn (she's an alicorn - a winged unicorn), so I'm planning to build the horn into the tiara, which will save me trying to figure out another way to put and keep the thing on her head.
==Wings: accompanying a doll I'm paying off, will be here in time for con.
==Fancy gold fleur-de-lis designs on hooves: zori with fancy straps.

==...Probably crazy. right.
