And here's the little kappa I finished last week. He doesn't look as hot as some kappas I could mention, but he's cuute. =)
Outside of teh dollmaking fun, life has been a big bag of stress bunnies all week. Apartment inspections, waiting for the maintenance guys to paint the farking balcony rails, hot weather, Morrissey cancelling out on his Baltimore show last Tuesday, and there just not being enough goddamn time to get everything done. RAAGGH. (...Laura B., I am wicked sorry I missed your birthday. I hangs me head. I hope you got a super fun day and lots of free smut goodies.)
Life as a hikikomori looks better and better all the time.
ANYway, now gearing up for Amalgam's Third Birthday Party, week of the 23rd-30th. Things planned include a major update to bring the episode guide in full concordance with the Roman Album, factoring in all the emailed trivia notes I've been sent over the past year (can you believe it never occurred to me until last week to check whether gold teeth were anachronistic?--they're not.=), a Zen quote generator to add a touch of philosophy to the site, the long-promised "Why You Love Mugen" contest with suitable prize, and an archive page that will return access to everything that's been on the front page of the site. And maybe more. [[ --Did I mention that the 21st-23rd, the final weekend I'll be able to work on all this--usually a busy time for me--is already booked solid for "Deathly Hallows"? Even my fun things end up crowding the schedule...]]
But, hey. Life without projects would suck.
(Funny thing this morning: Sensei reading the back of my t-shirt as we were working on our kimekomi: "'Ku-ro-sa-ki-ichi-go'--oh! you've been to Kurosaki?" Explained to her about Bleach. She's not an anime fan, but was pleased to see that my shirt was accurate. As was I. =)
