so last weekend was ax...it was a ton of fun! it was overwhelmingly huge! i spent a lot of time in line. a loooot of time. but it was worth it. i ended up making it to, like 3 panels *sigh*. the vendor's room was amazing. i ended up getting a few books (*cough* nana *shifty eyes*). it was almost hard to find stuff i wanted in there. i usually get my older brother something ghost in the shell related, since we both like it and watch it when he comes home. i ended up getting him one of the novels and having it signed by mary elizabeth mcglynn (its a dub, but i love her voice. and the character she plays. *rolls on the floor*)
ugh. amvs friday night. me and my friend got in line 3 hours before they started. 3 hours. the line wound around in the parking lot numerous times. after they finally let us in, they announced that they lost the disk with the amvs on it. *headdesk*. are you kidding me? we ended up seeing them sunday morning, but it was worth it for "does L creep you out"
http://youtube.com/watch?v=vmcUKkGCgq0 ive watched this more times than i care to admit.
also? i forgot to pack a brush. apologies for the hair. oops.
so maybe i'll get off my lazy butt and upload some pictures.
I was in costume for a whopping 3 hours before i got cranky and took it off. in a car, in a parking garage. reow! i also lost my sandals so i had a slighlty ghetto relaod thing goin on. oops. i found my sandals as soon as i got home. figures.
while i was waiting on the steps for my firend to come back from subway with our lunch i saw this. it still makes me laugh. he walked so slow he got stuck on the median and had to wait for the next walk light.
ah! gokus staff is blocking hakkai's head here. im a lousy photographer. sorry bout that!
and some of the older costumes..
yeah, the temari wig had problems. whoops.
belatrix lestrage from harry potter. i wore this to lumos 2006 at las vegas. i hate bellatrix, but i love this dress. sadly, this is the reason i have short hair now. i dyed it black with temporary dye that wasn't so temporary. i like my normal color, so i didn't want to dye over it. *sigh* it'll grow back!
and my first cosplay from 2005! trainer yuna! still my favorite!
and, as long as im putting up pictures, here's a few normal ones.
me, at graduation. (clearly, 3 hour long ceremonies absolutely *thrill* me)
and me, back in december before i cut my hair. notice the nice roots i have goin on.
and there it is.
well, i have to go finish cleaning the bathroom. my brother is airforce, and he's comming home for for his mid leave. he has to go back for another six months when he leaves, which sucks. but i couldn't be more excited that i get to see him in a few hours! we're nine years apart, but if either one of us were the opposite sex, we'd be just about the same person. we do differ on a few key points. i think "a new hope" is the best star wars movie, he thinks it's "return of the jedi". ah sibling rivalry.
well, i'd better get cleaning! soli, xpyne! it was fun meeting you and your friends! it's cool you can get such a big group of people you know to do a group cosplay! im jealous! maybe i'll see you next year!
