There was oil and rice EVERYWHERE.. *sob*
Finding myself hungry and no longer in the mood to spend money (trying to cut fast food purchases out of the budget as well), I finally decided I'd try my hand at egg fried rice. I was missing sesame seed oil, but after getting too deep to turn back, and making a little mess out of the stove.. success! It actually tasted pretty darn close to the rice at a place I love egg fried rice at. So, lessons were learned, but since the taste isn't nasty, I'm pleased! Nothing like make-it-yourself stuff from scratch. I must admit I was skeptical once I dropped rice into the frying pan and the immense sizzling threw oil out in a two foot radius around the pan. I'm not a cook, but I'm proud to have survived the kitchen and make something that didn't suck.
In other news, I took and passed my second exam in my HVAC vocational training, which now has study units going into science and math.. formulas, the nature of electricity, and alternating currents. Exciting! Scary! BZZT.
