GREEN DAY - one heck of a long post
hey everybody.
just thought i'd put up a post for green day, it's gonna be pretty obvious stuff, but REALLY important.
first, food. it's gonna be a long day, and you CANNONT take food in the venue, i've checked. and you can't eat it in the minibus either. you need to have something before we go, and BRING a big lunch cos we'll have to eat it in the queue. don't rely on buying one cos we won't stop anywhere on the way, unless you want to pay the £50 they will charge for an extra stop. gay, i know, but theres not a lot i can do about it. bring basic stuff like sandwiches and crisps, ENOUGH TO FILL YOU UP AND THEN SOME, but no lobsters and curries for obvious reasons, lol. no suger free or low fat rubbish as you're gonna need as much energy as possible. bring money as you'll need food later, and the venue will charge ridiculous prices.
bring sugary sweets aswell.
drink. no alcohol, no cans. you ARE allowed an UNOPENED, SEALED bottles of up to 1 litre, water or fizzy, but remember it has to last a heck of a long time, and probably will go warm, lovely!! make sure you have a bottle to drink whilst in the queue, and a totally different bottle ( or 2 or 3 or 4 etc) for in the venue. make sure you don't open them or bring bigger bottles or they will take them away!!! again, no Z or sugar free drinks cos you will need the energy. it might also be a good idea to bring a spare lid for your bottle in a hidden place ( put them in your bras girls!) cos if the security are totally anal they might confiscate lids like they've been known to do, and then you're screwed - well, not screwed cos you've got no lids to screw, but you get what i mean.
for god sake bring a big bag! enough to fit everything in it, but no useless junk.
bring something to sit on, no a chairs cos you're not allowed them. something like a fleece that can double up as something to keep you warm if it gets cold aswell.
bring a waterproof jacket incase it rains, but not a umbrella cos again youi're not allowed them.
WEAR SUNLOTION!!! AND BRING MORE FOR LATER. THERE WILL BE NO SHADE AND NO SYMPATHY IF YOU GET BURNT!!
but make sure you do check the weather before we go and wear suitable clothes.
no banners or signs or anything that can be used as a weapon, for obvious reasons, although i still don't really get how a sign is a weapon?!? lol
no crowd surfing or moshing - what a load of spoilsports.
if you want to bring a camera, hide it well, not like i did at good charlotte and get it confiscated!
toilets will be disgusting so avoid being desperate before we go, and only go if you HAVE to unless you wanna get AIDs, then by all means, pee away the day.
i think thats it. i'm kinda fed up of doing the whole mother of the group thing!!
PLEASE listen to what i have said. i will have no sympathy if you don't. god i do sound like a mother!!
let everyone else know if the don't have lj or you know they haven't seen it.
please reply if you are going and you read this, just so i know or i'll end up ringing everyone on saturday night!!
