So university aye? Ho hum pigs bum. Well I think I possibly have more spare time now than I have ever had in my life, and could ever feasibly find stuff to do in. I feel like I am frittering my life away here in the university bubble.
That may seem like a slight contradiction, have a load of spare time to fill with whatever I feel most productive and also being the worlds biggest time wastetal, but I'm feeling like quite a contradiction today. Before coming to this here university malarky I don't think I'd ever spent so much time on my own either. Not that I am trying to insinuate that I have become some kind of hermit here (although occasionally it feels like it) but compared to Londres where even when sleeping I usually had a compatriot at hand it is feeling a bit lonesome. Let us all hope this is just a menial phase that will soon pass, but until it does pass I guess I am just going to have to keep my chin up and wade through this hideously depressing mess with a smile on my face.
I've realised that almost everything I was looking forward to so avidly about coming to university I haven't done. Haven't gone to free extra lectures that interest me, haven't volunteered for any university connected charity stuff, haven't joined lots of clubs and societies. I have been to 2 amnesty meetings now. Hopefully I will go to more. Infact enough of this defeatist attitude, I will go to more. I will stop being a stupid coward, I will stop bothering so much about whether people think I'm a loser or not, I will do what I want to and I will cheer up and start being a happier person.
If not I don't know if I can cope with this all for much longer, not that I can really think of any feasible alternative to being here. Although getting a job with some sort of NGO has been playing on my mind recently
