Kanjani Christmas

Jul 01, 2012 13:26

I know I am more than a little late posting all of this.
If memory serves Christmas was a while ago :S
Still I haven't seen these anywhere and though I would put them up anyway.
Some of the weirdest (and maybe best) Christmas banners this year were the ones promoting Kanajni's album Fight in Shibuya. But then who doesn't want to be wished Merry Christmas by them.
It was a horrible day with lots of wind so it involved lots of standing around trying to get the banners when they were staying still for 3 seconds.

The next thing to see was in the shop right next to where all the banners were. They had a huge display promoting the album with the cute little chibi pictues of the band and their shirts on display too.

Then of course since I was there I had to take a photo of the display for A.N.Jell. Mostly to explain to my friends how I had bought a CD for a band that was technically imaginary. It's possibly not great for my mental health to see adverts for a band that only existed in a drama but it's also pretty awesome.

To top it all off there was a random art display going on at Shibuya crossing. They had even dressed up the statue of Hachiko with a rose and hung disco balls from all the trees. The highlight was this beautiful light display.

On my way back there were even more shirts displayed in the walkway at Shibuya station.

Considering we were there just to help my friend find the venue for a rock gig she was going to the day turned out very Jpop instead.
Then just to add a little more Christmas weirdness ... even KFC was getting into the spirit.

A lovely build up to what also turned out to be a very Jpop christmas.
