So Mr Abbott won't let people come here if they arrive by boat even if it is the only way to flee persecution. Even though they may be highly skilled or willing to apply themselves to any trade needed in this country, and yet you can come in on a temporary work visa. Wasn't one of the reasons people were being denied access that they would 'take our jobs and reduce the security of our nation', or something to that effect? How is this different? Because you say they can only come for a little while? And in the mean time, I own a business, can you send some forms to Manus and I'll see if any of them have the skills I need. Then they can come and work for me for a few years while we try and get them established in a country that doesn't condone the atrocities this government seems to hold so dear. If we can find one right now.
