Oh, where to start....
It's been a while. A busy, crazy while. Let's see, what's gone on in that time...
-Ailing grandmother of prior entry kicked it, after they finally got her down to Hopkins a few weeks too late.
-Cally rocked out at her 1st CT, finishing 3rd in our section and earning her first-ever ribbon.
-S and I are on some sort of weird break-breakupish sort of time apart but still texting sort of thing. It's messy and complicated and I'm still not quite sure what's going on.
-Dad had a stroke two weeks ago, and has lost the ability to speak and swallow. After a week in the hospital, a week in a nursing home, and the insertion of a feeding tube, insurace decided that he was getting sent home today, still unable to properly speak or swallow. But he can walk, which is something, I guess.
-Am pretty well up to my neck in buying a condo. Paperwork for the offers/counter-offers/acceptance of offers is all signed and initialled, and I'm in mortgage negotiations and hoping to close at the end of August. So as of September, I'll be a resident of Falls Church, VA.
That's really the high and low points. Work is gearing up for the convention craziness, and I've been working some mad overtime in preparation for the whole purchasing a home thing, wherein extra cash is nice.
