Humans yearn for attention from those who ignore them.
They return to those who abandon them.
They crave acceptance from those who reject them. and isn't that true? Incredibly so, and I keep wondering why ... must we be accepted by everyone? is being rejected by that one person among perhaps 1000, indicating that we are no good? I highly doubt but that's just me ... as for this 3 lines, marvelous and intensely self-explanatory.

The rest of the plot is quite vivid, and had me staring, and holding my hand over my mouth. It was nicely written, and you made it so that you had no idea what caused Kai's character's injures until "What are you doing there? C'mere Kai." after which what is going on is completely clear, and eyes go wide. That was a good transition ( ... )
