Toumal: Kiroki, you were a respected user well before you became a mod. In fact, you being a mod was a rather new thing so I really can't follow your reasoning. I also must say that I do not understand that you asked Graeme to quit. It means I will have to find a replacement and I can't help but think that, despite you assuring me of the opposite, you silently hope that this thing fails.
If you think that you being a mod is a "reward" and not being a mod is a "punishment", then you couldn't be farther from the truth.
Sometimes I do think that being a mod went a little into some people's heads. So far, the only bad thing I noticed from the new system is an increased rate of people asking to be a mod, but then again, it's a time of transition.

there are 7 active mods right now, guess how many are in the chat? 1 how many would there be if they were all full time? 4.
Yes, but the total number of mods is a bit smaller than previously too. The number of mods being online at any given time is not specific to this system, you can have a lack of active moderators with permanent mods too. I'm sorry, but the logic of your reasoning eludes me here.
Anywhoo, thank you for clarifying things. It's certainly better to know that you're dropping out instead of finding that out on my own.
Kiroki: I never thought of it as a reward or punishment. I only ever wanted to be a mod for the good of that chat. How much good can I do with the hours I'd spend in there now? None.
