I think I do believe in true love, but not necessarily a "one true love." I believe that one can be 100% in love with someone and deem that feeling true love. It is possible that in the case that that love is taken away in some way, there's another shot at true love with another person. An example of the first, I believe, is Matt and myself. I'm very much in love with him, and though I have only been in love with him for about a year and a half, I think it's a "true love." Then, an example of the second: my aunt Joyce lost her husband ten years ago to brain cancer. She had true love with him. I feel like it's possible for her to find another true love (but she won't look).
As for love at first sight, I believe THAT is a load of crap. There's no way you can tell from a person's external appearance that you love what's inside. Lust, okay. Love, give me a break.
Not much happening this week in general, but I did get some great big news. I met with a local neuropsychologist (if you don't know, that's what I want to get into) on Wednesday. He's going to let me shadow him with patients three or four times a month, as well as help with his research and get my name on a few studies by the time I apply for grad school. It's very exciting for me! Now I have to plan when to take my GRE General and GRE Psychology, sometime before November. Matthew is on his way to talk to a professor of his from undergrad to find out how close he is to getting his degree. Maybe if he'll be done with his stuff by August or so, he can take them with me. :)
So, I think that's all for now. Adios!
