Movie Update - Sin City
Sin City - UGH. OK I already wasted 90 mins watching this 126 mins film (yes, I walked out of the theatre), so I won't waste much time talking about it. This film has some of the absolutely most daring and exciting cinematography I have seen and I was drawn to watch it. What a let down! The extreme violence and extreme stupidity of said violence made "Kill Bill" look like "The Parent Trap". At a certain point I just thought, ok, only a 13 year old boy would actually find this level of depravity entertaining and I just retired to my car to read while my friend finished the movie. He was almost equally disappointed though he felt if Tarantino's part had been cut out the film would have been greatly improved. On a happier note, I was reading Augusteen Burroughs' "Magical Thinking" was an enjoyable read in the car!
